What is GeoMe?
GeoMe is a service for your mobile phone that allows you to post messages for your friends on a map directly from your phone-that’s it!
All you need to choose is whether you want to leave a message for just your friend(s) or for the wider GeoMe community of users-we believe GeoMe is all about sharing, so encourage users to spread the word on your favourite places as much as possible.
How do I get started?
Starting to take advantage of the endless benefits of GeoMe couldn’t be simpler...simply fill in your details on the ‘Signing Up’ form and we will send you a web link to download our GeoMe application straight from your mobile phone internet browser. Simply create your username and password and you will then be able to use the service right away.
How is leaving a Location-Based Message different to a SMS?
Ever wished for a simpler way to invite your friends to your house party without having to explain umpteen times how to get there? Well, GeoMe is the answer to your problems! You can leave a message at a precise point on a map for your friends to see, so they can navigate directly to your street address. No more fuss!
How does it work?
We are developing new ways to access the GeoMe service as part of our ambition to make it a universal service accessible to all-at the moment, GeoMe uses the inbuilt GPS on many phones to place you on a map.
How much does it cost to join GeoMe?
Not a dime-GeoMe offers free membership to the members of its community
How much will it cost to leave a message for my friends?
This will depend on your mobile network operator. Data transfer charges may apply when posting or receiving messages.
Will GeoMe or my friends be able to track my movements?
No. We are very much aware of the privacy issues surrounding location-based services and our research shows that the majority of users don’t want to be tracked. If you want to let your friends know where you are, the best way is to leave them a Location Based Message!
