Our vision is to provide our members with their choice of information on what is happening in their neighbourhood as well as the choice to let others know where they are. This way everyone can shape the urban map of their city and share their views on their favourite places with their friends or the entire community –the choice is theirs!
Team Profiles:
Magnus Jern, Founder
Magnus Jern has worked with Digital Marketing for Telecoms and Consumer Brands for the past 9 years. His early work included working on groundbreaking digital marketing initiatives for major brands such as Volvo, Ikea, AstraZeneca, Nike and BT. He then spent 5 years marketing new products and services for Orange Group in Scandinavia and later Vodafone Group including award winning and industry leading Vodafone live! across Europe and Asia. His last assignment for Vodafone was to develop the group strategy for mobile marketing on behalf of the product marketing team. In the summer of 2007 Magnus founded GeoMe together with a group of entrepreneurs based in Barcelona with the aim of creating a truly useful and fun location based mobile service. Magnus is CEO of Golden Gekko and currently serves on the board of Golden Gekko, Wireless Solution and GeoMe.
Ric Ferraro, CEO
Ric has over 12 years experience in blue-chip multinationals in Europe, leading marketing, change management and business development projects. He was formerly with the GSM Association as Interim Program Director, chairing the Technology Showcase Committee for the Mobile World Congress and establishing the Barcelona.mobi project with the dot.mobi consortium. Ric is a contributor to the Mobile Monday Bloghive and has specific expertise in Location Based Services. He holds an MBA from EADA Business School in Barcelona. Niclas Rothman, Technology Director
Niclas, aged 36, graduated from Lundby University of Copenhagen with a Degree in Advanced Computer Science and was nominated as Best Student of the year. Previously, he completed his high school education from Göteborgs Tekniska Institut, Branch of Building Engineering. His work experience spans over 12 years and includes stints at E-sense Copenhagen Denmark as Advanced Developer (where he was nominated as Employee of the Year) and NovoNordiskIT, Copenhagen Denmark as Lead Developer. He is a fully Certified Sun Programmer and has expertise in Java application development.
